
Siddartha Ragala, known as “Sid,” serves as the Assistant Coach of the Detroit Super Lions, bringing a dynamic blend of international training, competitive excellence, and grassroots coaching experience. A skilled bowling all-rounder and mystery spinner, Sid has built a strong reputation both in India and across the Michigan cricket scene.
His cricketing foundation was developed in Andhra Pradesh, where he competed across regional circuits before advancing his training at the prestigious Anantapur Sports Academy (ASA) and Rural Development Trust (RDT). There, he had the unique opportunity to learn from global legends such as Adam Gilchrist and Zaheer Khan, while also gaining elite-level exposure as a net bowler to top international players including Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, MSK Prasad, and Ambati Rayudu.
After moving to the United States, Sid became a key figure in Michigan cricket, with over 12 years of competitive experience across Premier Division, Division I, and Division II. Known as a “master of spin” and a dependable lower-order finisher, he has taken over 250 wickets and consistently ranked among the top performers in his leagues. His leadership has contributed to multiple team successes, including Detroit Cricket League and FCC Trophy championships.
Since 2021, Sid has focused on coaching and mentorship, working with youth programs and developing players through a strong emphasis on technique, discipline, and match awareness. His coaching philosophy centers on building confident, well-rounded athletes while fostering a winning mindset.
